Commentary

All change at the top of the singles chart as schlager singer Helene Fischer's Atemlos Durch Die Nacht climbs a place to No.1, becoming the first German language song to hit the top since Cassandra Steen and Adel Tawil's Stadt in 2009. Swedish singer John Martin climbs to No.2 with his euphoric new dance anthem Anywhere For You while Sanna Nielsen sticks at No.3 with Undo. Katy B drops from No.1 to No.4 with Crying For No Reason and Swedish pop legends Alcazar go straight in at No.5 with Blame It On The Disco! New entries in the top 20 come from Anton Ewald, Ace Wilder, Katy B, Ingrid Michaelson, Janet Leon, Oscar Zia and Anda Volley!

Katy does however retain the album chart top spot with Little Red for a third week. The Melodifestivalen 2014 compilation slips in at No.2, pushing the competition's 1958-2013 compilation down a spot to No.3. Scottish singer Nina Nesbitt enters at No.4 with debut album Peroxide and Norway's Melodi Grand Prix compilation album goes in at No.5! Also in the top 20 there is a re-entry for Zedd's Clarity and a new entry for Alyssa Reid.
